 Model Number RPM650

Product Description
RPM650 is a non -halogenated flame retardant based on red phosphorus, particularly suitable for polyolefin articles. It is offered as a free-flowing and dust-free master batch in pellets physical form which makes it very easy to handle, accurate to dose and safe to process, allowing high consistency in the quality of the final article.
RPM650 is based on stabilized and micro-encapsulated red phosphorus powder grades and polyolefin as a carrier resin. It is easy to be homogenously dispersed in the polymer compound.

Delivery Specification and Technical Data
Characteristics unit Target Value DS 1) TD 2)
Phosphorus %(w/w) 50-52 √ /
Moisture %(by wt) max 0.3 √ /
Density g/cm3 approx.1.5 / √
Bulk density kg/cm3 approx.800 / √
Fire temperature °C ﹥320 / √

Applications
RPM650 is the master batch developed especially for use in polyolefin. It is the ideal partner for halogen-free flame-proofing polyethylene (homo-polymer and co-polymer), polypropylene (homo-polymer and co-polymer) articles such as tubes, jackets, profiles, wires, cables, film, etc.

Formulation
RPM650 is generally combined with one or more synergistic co-agents such as metal hydroxides (Al (OH)3, Mg(OH)2), organic phosphoric esters, expandable graphite, melamine derivatives, etc. A recommended dosage should range from 10 to 15%(by wt) based on the weight of total composition, depending on the kind of polymers, other flame retardant content and the required flame retardancy class.
